RAUXA, based in Catalonia, is integrated by Xavi Sanchez and Analia Serenelli, contemporary circus artists, revolutionaries in the field of object thetaer and puppets.

They met at Cirque Plume in 2015, a French company, worldwide pioneer of contemporary circus.

In 2017 they created RAUXA with the firm intention of developing their own universe. Driven by a unique body language, crossed by circus, dance and physical theater, combined with an innovative concept of the puppet approach, they wish to transmit their tragicomic and poetic vision of life, trying to mobilize even the deepest emotions of the public who visits them.

Thanks to the multidisciplinarity of their work, the revolution in the world of puppets that they have made in recent years and the incessant desire for creation and development, the company already has five shows today: Paper Theater, Crisis of the Imagination , Wool Story, Anonymous and Strambotik Kabaret.

These shows allowed the company to tour in France, Switzerland, Italy, Hungary, Croatia, Bulgaria, Serbia, Spain and Catalonia, Slovenia, Iceland, Belgium, Israel, Lithuania, Argentina, Portugal, Poland, Dubai and Tunisia.

RAUXA has always been committed to revolutionizing the current artistic scene in some way. This revolution has focused on the incorporation of the figure of the puppet since its first show "Crisis of the Imagination and until the latest ones "Wool Story" and "Anonymous" .

The company's approach to puppets is based on escaping from traditional prototypes, inventing new manipulation techniques, accompanied by new prototypes, thus writing a new chapter in the contemporary history of puppets.

Xavi Sanchez

Born in Martorell, Barcelona, in 1987, always attracted by the artistic world, he has been fascinated by the circus arts since childhood.

He trained in several schools such as Alcorcón (2006 - 2007), Carampa (2007 -2009) in Madrid, Teatro Cirqule in Geneva, Switzerland (2009 - 2010), The Regional Center of Circus Arts of Lomme, France (2010 - 2012) and the Lido Toulouse, France (2013 -2015) specializing in acrobatics, handstands and juggling.

His artistic journey responds to the desire to explore acrobatic disciplines and the relationship of the body with objects. He has collaborated with Cirque Plume (2015), Kd Danse (2014), Animal Religión (2018), among others.

In parallel to his career in the circus world, he fell in love with the art of puppetry. His concern for going beyond what has already been invented and the desire to discover new paths and find a true identity for himself, led him down a very serious path of experimentation and development of the puppet, creating new techniques that escape traditional work, changing the paradigm of object manipulation.

Today, he considers himself an inventor and has developed more than 30 new puppet prototypes to date, different and unprecedented, which are manipulated unconventionally and generally without direct contact between puppet and puppeteer. In 2017, together with Analia Serenelli, they created the company Rauxa.
